Bigger is Bigger

What’s 6.2 inches and fits snugly in your hand?

You know what they say about big hands? They can hold the iPhone 6 Plus. This 6.2 inch long slab of aluminium has the biggest display, with the thinnest body, found in an iPhone yet. It’s a real man-size phone and it feels good in your

hand with the near seamless case bonding aluminium, stainless steel and glass. Sure, the iPhone 6, at 5.4 inches, might be more conveniently sized, but you’ve got to super size that thing to get all the real features.

But my thumbs are only so big, I hear you cry

That’s why Apple upped the reachability on the iPhone 6 Plus, making it easier for you to get to the things you use with the swipe of a thumb. Double tap the home button and everything will inch down, closer to your digit. Just swipe left or right to go back and forward in your browser. They’ve even made the volume button longer and put the sleep button on the side so it’s within easy reach.

Nobody needs a heavy phone weighing them down. The iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus are 6.9mm and 7.1mm thin. Everything down to the finest detail has been designed to run smaller, lighter, better.

The iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus are coming to the rest of the world on the 19th of September, but we have to wait a little longer with a predicted due date in October/November. Rumours suggest its going to be pricey too (around R12 999 for the 128GB iPhone 6 Plus and R11 999 for the iPhone 6) so it might be time to upgrade that contract.

The first wearable smart watch from Apple, the Apple Watch connects messages, Facebook updates, simplified apps and Siri to your wrist.

With cellphones getting bigger every year, it’s easy to see why someone might want to stow their phone away in a bag or jacket pocket and let their smart watch do the work.

Simplified apps on the Apple Watch include: iMessages, Health, Calendar, Weather, Mail, Photos, the camera’s Shutter Button and Apple Maps to help you find your way.

The watch’s 38 or 42mm display is surrounded by alloys of stainless steel and aluminium, making them tough enough for daily wear. Splurge on the 18-karat yellow or rose gold for a premium look.

The dial on the side lets you zoom in on maps or pictures and scroll through your apps. Just push the button below the dial to phone a friend. Watch out for it in early 2015.
