Tottenham goalkeeper Hugo Lloris spoke to RMC Sport last night amidst reports linking him with a move to Manchester United.
The French captain reiterated his desire to play Champions League football – something he has not acquired during his three years at White Hart Lane.
According to various reports, Hugo Lloris has been identified by Manchester United as David De Gea’s replacement if the Spanish keeper joins Real Madrid this summer.
Speaking to RMC Sport, the highly rated 28 year old stopper left the door open for a potential move to Manchester.
“The Champions League is an aim and a personal ambition of mine,” Said Lloris. “It’s the highest level in Europe. I keep calm over all that, let’s see how things develop.”
Despite another fine campaign between the posts, Spurs finished 6th and will play in the Europa League once again next season.
Hugo Lloris appears to be Louis van Gaal’s number one choice to replace David De Gea and Tottenham fans would not begrudge their keeper if he left them to play in the elite European competition.
