UEFA President Michel Platini has spoken for the first time about the FIFA scandal which has seen several of its officials charged with racketeering and bribery.
Platini says he is ‘disgusted, nauseated’, and that ‘enough is enough’.
The Euro ’82 winner and Les Bleus legend gave his backing to Jordanian candidate Prince Ali in tomorrow’s FIFA elections, and assures that a ‘huge majority’ of national associations will do likewise.
He also says that he personally met with Blatter, and told the FIFA President that he needs to stand down, but that Blatter refused his advice.
